Ashburton is a great little spot in the heart of Canterbury, with plenty to see and do while still having that relaxed, country-town feel. The beautiful Ashburton Domain is a highlight, with gardens, walking paths, trees, and plenty of space to unwind. The Ashburton Art Gallery and Museum are also worth a visit, while the nearby Ashburton River and surrounding countryside offer some lovely scenery.
